Thie may sound strange, but could an old Copper 7 IUD cause an irregular heartbeat?

I have an IUD that I have had for 20 years and on my last check-up the doctor said that since I hadn't had any problems with it, to just keep it in until go through menopause. Could this possibly cause an irregular heart beat?

I have never heard of an IUD being left that long, but I have also never heard of an IUD causing an irregular heartbeat
If you haven't seen the Dr go see one, if you have talk to the Dr about this maybe they have heard more about this then I have or can call another Dr who knows more in that area?

How long have you had the problem with the irregular heartbeat? If it has just started recently, you definitely need to speak with your doctor about it asap.

I had one of those new iud"s and it caused all kinds of problems and i think thats way too long to leave it in!! If your problem keeps up i wouold consider taking it out!!

There is aprog called 'HOUSE'. hospital prog.. there was a lady in who had a copper iud. and it was said that it causes loads of problems. i would advice more check ups and maybe get a new up to date one.
