Anybody with irregular heartbeat during menstruation? I experience this and i don't know what to do..?

- i have very mild mitral valve regurgitation
- i always have palpitation but cardiologist said, it is due to my panic attack

Hi! I don't know if I'm really answering your question but this happens to me too and I also have panic. My dr. told me that it is most likely stress related but with you it maybe related to changing hormone levels and being more anxious than normal. I know that right before and the first day or so of my period I am so much more anxious than usual! So, that could be it. I was told that I had pac's or pvc's (preventrical or preatrical contractions). My doc said that thet are not harmful unless they occur with shortness of breath, dizziness, and sweating, etc. But that didn't help me much, cause that's exactly what panic is like! Anyway, my doc said that when you get irregular heartbeats to pretend that you are pooping. I know it sounds funny, but its' true. By pushing like that it stimulates the vagus nerve and puts your heart back to normal. They even said to go and sit on the toilet if I had too!So, try that and see if it goes away. Sounds like you saw a doc about this and they are unconcerned about it but its' still scary, especially when you have panic to begin with! So, try the pushing thing and try not to let it scare you!
