How dangerous is an irregular heartbeat and how do they treat it.?

Has anyone experienced this condition.
Thank You

It depends on whether the irregular heartbeat originates in the upper or lower chambers of the heart. Upper chambers are generally less dangerous, lower chambers are generally more dangerous.
Of course it depends on several other things, like how often, how long, and how fast the irregularities are. Does it happen all the time, or is it intermittent?
Treatment depends upon the kind of arrhythmia it is, and any other symptoms you may be having. Some irregular hearts need no treatment, or just medication. Others may require a more invasive approach like an ablation, or a pacemaker.
Your cardiologist should be able to give you more information, and discuss your options.
Find more information on the Heart Rhythm Society website.

it depends on what heartbeat you have. You can have a heart that beats in an irregular pattern but as long as it is still pumping your blood correctly it isn't going to be a problem. It is something that you want to keep an eye on because it could become a problem if it gets worse or stops pumping correctly.

There are many reasons for an irregular heartbeat. Some are innocuous and harmless and people live long lives with them. Others are very dangerous and kill people regularly. Treatment can be medications, electric cardioversion, sugery and pacemakers.
If you think you have an irregularity and it worries you, see a cardiologist and get a cardiac stress test done.

It can be very serious. You need to see a cardiologist right away. It can lead a stroke or worse. You might even need a pace maker.

a irregular heartbeat in most people is caused by anxiety and most times its not dangerous unless people who answer are cardiologist or doctors maybe consult your doctor on your next visit
