Iron!! Whats the best way to get it.....? |
I've been prescribed iron tablets but they really don't agree with me, I've tried taking them a few times now. I try and eat cereal fortified with iron and I know drinking fresh orange juice increases your absorption of iron due to the vitamin C, any other ideas how i could increase my iron intake without having to take iron tablets? Iron pills do the same thing to me. They upset my tummy something awful! eat liver guinness Green Vegetables basically- spinach. Also dark chocolate. Liver, Guinness or black pudding. liver irich in iron and guinness my nan swears by it!!! Lots of red meat, chicken and other meats. Nuts, more cereals; stuff like that. Red meat is a good source of iron and drinking guiness, this is what the doctor said to my misses the other week Liver Eat some Liver with some Fava Beans and a nice Bottle of Chianti.
