Iron???????? |
My husband and I eat no pork at all, and have very much decreased our beef intake. Pretty much we only eat chicken and fish. I mentioned this to my mother, and she said that we should watch our iron level. So my question is what foods are high in iron? From what I hear taking an iron supplement pill, and be kind of hard to digest, or something. Any ideas would be welcome. :) Green veggies like cabbage are packed with iron. The main source of iron in the human being is red meat. iron from animal sources are easier to be absorbed by the body than iron from vegetal sources(plants). |
