IV Iron....... REALLY LOW IRON LEVELS?

am anemic and i have been taking Iron for the past 6 months and my iron levels have not improved at all!! My soctor is starting to get really worried because my iron levels are very very low they are less then 1 and they should be aroud 10-251
She told me that if i did not improve any in 4 weeks when she repeats my labs that i was going to have to start doing IV iron!! Will i be able to do this in her office or will i have to go to the hospital to do this!!! And how long will i have to do this? Will i have to go everyday or once a week?

Sorry i just am worried and would like some advice!!

Thanks
By the way i am a 17 year old female

Hey, I usually have really low iron, and I go home on iron pills, or I get a bloood tranfusion... But don't panic, have you tried eating steak? Or I know this sounds really bad, but have you tried eating liver? They say it really boosts your iron up, and so does steak! But the iv pump won't hurt you, and if she is certified by the Medical Board, she can perform the iv iron in her office, if she can't do it at her office, she will be at the hospital with you, or will instruct the hospital what to do... It will be a quick and simple procedure...

Don't worry... Try to eat iron rich foods!
