Iron question?

i had a blood test the other day and apparently have low iron,
i started taking iron tablets again but since i have i get headaches, feel sick,am tired a lot...has my body got some kind of problem with absorbing iron?

The more vitamin C you take the more iron you will absorb.

I would also eat things high in natural iron

Too much iron can cause iron poisoning. check the appropriate dosage for your body.
there may be another reason for your complaints other than low iron.

www.spatone.com

This is a better product with none of the usual side-effects associated with iron tablets.

I used it when I was pregnant and I was fine. I can't tolerate iron tablets due to having stomach problems.

If you're in the UK you can buy it from larger Boots outlets.

You need to alert your doctor to your symptoms.
You may have to adjust the strength of your prescription.
If you want to increase your iron without eating a lot of red meat try Spinach, or other green leafy veggies, the darker the green the higher the iron. Too much iron can cause issues just as to little can .. your doctor should be made aware of what is happening so he can get you on the correct Does of supplements for you.
