Can iron cause trouble sleeping?


I was taking a multivitamin with no iron in it, and I was sleeping fairly well. I then started taking one with iron, and I've been getting up a few times every night.
Does iron affect sleep?

If anything it should help you sleep better. Iron helps your blood carry oxygen, which if you are getting more oxygen easily, you will sleep deeper since you body is working less hard. Maybe you aren't used to the extra energy. Try to work out a couple of hours before bed.
