Anemia / Iron deficiency problem? |
I'm positive I have an Iron Deficency problem, I went to the doctor and he didn't find anything wrong with me, or anything was out of the ordinary, but I know there is something wrong. Last week, I went away to visit a friend and all we ate every day was pasta and or pizza, so I know that it's most likley a Iron def. Now I'm back to eating.. my old diet, but i've put more fruit and veggies in it, hopping that the problem will be solved. You could start taking over the counter iron but iron is toxic and not water soluable. If anemia isn't your problem, you would be doing yourself harm by taking the iron. Having been anemic, your symptons don't ring true. You could possibly have something wrong with your Thyroid or possibly Depression. You need to find a Doctor you can work with and get to the bottom of this problem. It's no fun feeling so bad. Good luck. Mono isn't any fun but at least now you know you can get over it and get to feeling better so you can get on with your life. You will have a new appreciation for feeling good when you get better. Good luck to you. Report It So now that you are back home , are you eating I had an iron deficiency and I'm not sure your symptoms represent that, other than the fatigue. I've learned the hard way not to self-diagnose. If your doc isn't doing enough diagnostics, good idea to see another one. I wish you the best! Taking extra Vitamin C will help to absorb more iron. |
