Iron and Ur Period?

Wut does iron have to do with ur period? my grandma told me to have irin n my diet because i am a "woman" now (that means i have my period) wut does she mean? why would iron help my period?

Iron is known to create more blood cells. She told you to have it in your diet is because during your period, you would bleed and that would mean loss of blood.

See more information about iron at the link provided.

that's so old school, haha

I agree with Jon C- when ur on ur period.. u lose lots of blood and therefore iron and it can cause u to be really tired and faint! Iron is found in liver, pills, and certain other foods.

It helps to make up for the blood loss during the period.
