I'm wondering if i have an intestinal worm...i'm scared to death? |
i also have had crohns disease for 21 years,but lately i've had several new complaints...i felt something coming out of me while having a b.m.Sorry,I know this is gross to talk about but i need to find out what this is...i think it's a parasite or worms.Help me please!Here is a description of my alien...walnut to corn size,pale yellow to dark yellow , vary in size , floats,slimey,sticky,very foul odor when opened up,and inside of my alien egg sack it looks like thousands of uncooked cream of wheat looking things.I did send a sample to the lab but my Dr. lost it.I'm so creaped out.Can anyone help?I'm so very frightened...ty I work in the lab and I test stool samples for ova and parasites. (ova are eggs). There is NO KNOWN parasite to humans that is any larger than a poppy seed. A parasitic worm from an animal, however could be your problem. But, again, the ova to these are tiny and we have to use microscopes to see them. The worms can get to be a few inches long though. Sounds like you have an intestinal parasite. Don't panic, go back to doctor and demand an answer. Could be round worm or something. Go to doctor and get your medicine now. Sounds terrible, good luck dear. You definately need to be checked out for a parasite, I recommend finding a different doctor.....lost your sample? first ask this doctor if he is going to diagnose you and treat your problem, if not ask for a referral to a specialist in this case most likely an infectious disease specialist as intestinal parasites are not common in the USA (sorry I assumed you live in the USA) you need to go back to the doctor and give him another stool sample so you can know particulary w/crohns disease you don't want that to get any more complicated that it probally iss. good luck and remember what you don't know can hurt you!!! try get get another one and take it to your doctor and ask him to look at it right there in front of you, he should have the answer to what it is. |
