Approx. 3 yrs ago i was diag with spinal stenosis. My Dr put me on lortab and I now get 90 a month..they are? |
not even enough anymore and I have had a mylegram and an mri but cannot afford to take off work for surgery. I also take several other meds as i have intestinal disease and anxiety issues..I really want to get off the lortab..i totally freak out when I start getting low on my supply and worry that i am going to suffer from pain and yes i have tried to just not take them and i do hve dibilitating pain. Is there anything that can help with withdrawals?? Aches, pains,fatigue,mental..i cannot go into treatment and it's a tough thing because I know that I need them for the pain but i am so afraid to even try because of the withdrawal symptoms. dont hink i would be desperate enough to but **** off the street...trying to get help here not learn where to get more You need to go see a pain management doc and they will help you get on the right pain meds at the right dose. spinal stenosis may be relieved by chiropractic treatment, but there is no guarantee. Oooo Lortab is good stuff. See if your medical insurance would cover a visit to a pain management doctor or a chiropractor. Or you could just get more off the streets.....if you're in pain, I mean.... feel for yoy for am also taking a pain medication for a chronic condition and although tried all recommended to try by my doctor none helped. The only way to get off Lortab is to slowly decrease the no of pills you are taking daily until your body/brain is no longer addicted or stop taking the Lortab and take a pain medication with a different chemical makeup esp Narcotic than Lortab but eventually you'll be addicted to the other medication But while you are taking the other pain medication although your body is going through withdrawals it'll barely be noticeable because of the other narcotic you're taking. If you think you can manage without a narcotic pain medication or any that is addictive then talk to your doctor for there are medications available that will lessen the severity of the withdrawal symptons. You can also stop in your local health food store and check their products out. for a period of intense stress in my life I took Rhodiola Root capsules-do not affect blood pressure, nor interact with other medications you may try them for also give one a sense of well being. Since I hve a condition that is chronic and painful esp in the AM or wake-up often at night and necessary for me to take pain meds and see no improvement am paying close attn to the no of pills I take and take only when there is pain and not(the trap easily fallen into with narcotics) when I'm upset or feel down for doing that will hasten dependency since the brain then requires the drug in order to release serotonin , the fee good hormone.I kept a empty bottle and instead of reaching into full bottle put the daily amount/number of pills with 1extra if needed into that bottle.Withdrawals last approx1to2weeks and if you do a body detox-can get from any health food store-would do 1 each day for 3 days-since you work can do on weekend -begin with Friday evening .The detoxifying your body will get the drug out of your body faster esp the toxins and you'll feel better-naturally it also means you drink water and fruit juices and take a vitamin mineral supplement 1x's daily. although I've not taken but thinking of trying have heard even in convntional meds info that capsein pepper is effective in relieving pain-since its one of the hottest peppers will go to my local health food store and check out the pillswhich have all except the hot/burning, the birch tree -twigs also is supposed to be a natural to ease pain-I give to my v.old rabbit to ease her joint pain-get twigs from my vet and she chews, not long aafter is more spry and active. Hope I've given you some info you can use and wish you luck YUou could into the hospital for a few hours and have a block done. this helps with the pain for a few months. |
