What do you think is the alpha killer of Americans? |
My research tells me that high fructose corn syrups, hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated oils, which are in practically all processed foods, are the primary cause of obesity, heart, kidney, liver, metabolic and intestinal diseases. They were banned in Europe decades ago. Can you think of anything that is worse for our health? I can think of a few things. MSG which is added to most fast foods and processed foods. MSG is an excitotoxin that causes a person to eat more than they normally would if this chemical wasn't on the food. Actually, I chose this as best answer, even though there were no bad ones. Only time will tell how bad these other additives are. Beware, because the FDA allows food companies to change the names of things like MSG to hide its presence. Report It Unprotected sex,,,,,which i am guilty of Fast Food for sure!!!!! Can't think of anything offhand except possibly tobacco. lard and cream filled pastrys, egg nogg. Your right... what we put in our mouths has profound consequences. My mom, has heart disease... so I know how important it is to watch what we eat. But I see more and more young families, stressed with time, filling up their shopping carts with fast prepared meals with those ingredients and tons of salt... layers and layers of salt (huge sections in the supermarket getting bigger because of demand), junk food, pop, and very little or no exercise. Don't they know the long-term effects this will have on their health? Not only bad for our health but who is going to pay for this burden on the health system? |
