Hypochondria? paranoia? OCD? Help...?

I scare myself a lot.
I always think I'm dying from something, ever since I was like 12.
I've been paranoid that I have had each of the following at some point:
a brain tumor, heart failure, aneurysm, intestinal blockage, ectopic pregnancy, urinary tract infection, kidney stones, ulcers, skin cancer... But I'm still fine.
It even goes into mental health conditions.
I think I have OCD, anxiety, bipolar... I always thought it was OCD because I'll have thoughts about diseases that won't go away and I will obsess and obsess about them. I can't block it out.
I'll learn about a disease, and then a day or two later I will start having symptoms. I try to convince myself that I'm fine, but it doesn't work and I'll get depressed and scared and cry a lot.
Also my mom would make fun of me when this happened and tell me to take placebos to make it go away. =(
Is this normal to be this worried about my health all the time? I am 18 so this has been happening for about 6 years.

It's called Intern's disease. Some MD interns develop symptoms of whatever disease, condition they are currently studying.
If you can't get a handle on it yourself, talk with your MD.

omg everything is okay!
just calm yourself.
it's all mind over matter.
good luck with it.

you might have this thing called "mirror"
its this disorder where you see something and you mirror it
lkike the diseas thing, your body will make up that you have the diseas because the disorder is where your body doesn't know what it is kinda, so it thinks that taht is what it should be acting like, get it?

This started for me at 35. Uh October being breast cancer month was impossible because I knew it would eventually get in my head and take over and become fear that I have it. Sure enough it did. Well go see a doctor. They help. That's what I did.

Hey!!! Just like your name cinnamon! This is a very special word. It does help depression! Sound to me that you really need all of us on Y. were here for you OK! first of all, stay bz. get a part time job.always go to school. you need to stop thinking this way. It's just as I was talking to someone on here about being shy! Now that I'm not my life is so much happier. You have got to want to change no one can do this for you. we can give advice and it's totally up to you. First start learning about vitamins and herbs. A lot of herbs and vitamins will help you to grow stronger inside, mentally and physically.

Well I too think I have OCD.
OCD is a disorder that makes you do things over and over again. It helps you cope with your obsession. Like sometimes before I go to bed I flick on and off the lights 4 times then go to sleep. Or if Im geting a little bit nervous I will wiggle my fingers 4 times first thumb then middle then pointer and ring finger. At first I thought I was going crazy because one day after flickering on and off the lights I said to myself, what is going on with me. I was so used to doing the motion it became a part of me. It turns out that IF you think you have a problem then you are NOT crazy and you just have OCD. I still didn't get it looked at by a doctor but I know I have OCD.
What ever your repetitive motion or thoughts may be its all going to be okay. Go to your doctor and he/she will understand. Have you ever seen the movie "As Good as It Gets"? with Jack Nicholson. He played a man with OCD. The character he played washed his hands a ton and never walked on cracks on the sidewalk. As for me I count numbers to four in my head at times or the finger motion.

Take care and dont be ashamed of your disorder because, when you know what you have you can treat it. You will be just fine.
