Hi there.
I've been having occasional abdominal (intestinal?) pain since March. It's mostly in the same place every time - 4 inches to the left of my belly button, and 1 inch down. I've been seen by 3 doctors now. The last doc suggested a CAT scan to get to the root of it, but I just can't afford it.
So far, I've:
been treated for H Pylori (I test negative for it now),
had abdominal & pelvic ultrasound (all looked healthy),
had a colonoscopy & endoscopy - colon was fine and there was mild redness in the stomach which was biopsied and shown not to be ulcerous.
Doctor said that it wasn't IBD or cancer, so unless I get a cat scan, he can't say. I stopped stressing about it, which helped, but didn't make it go away.
It's been 3 months since the endoscopy, and I still get these pains at least once a day. I get them every time I'm hungry, and sometimes after eating. Excercising triggers the pain sometimes too.
Dad said maybe it's muscle-related. Help please!!! have ya seen a gastro doc...if so,try another one
try a teaching hospital, there ya get more than one opinion..good luck
also, did your doc do culture and ocp on stool...if not,ask for these......... |
