How serious is being in intensive care?

How serious is being in intensive care?

Intensive care does mean that you need to be watched closely for medical purposes. But, it most certainly doesn't mean a death sentence. More patients leave the ICU alive and well than dead.

it is intense

Very Very serious.

there's a possibility that the person may die!!!

Intensive-mind it.....

If someone is in the intensive care unit of a hospital, that means that he or she requires around-the-clock monitoring because of an unstable health situation that could lead to death. It's serious, but it doesn't mean that the person is GOING to die, just that he or she probably WOULD die if no one was helping him.

For me, it wasn't very serious. They were monitoring my blood sugar, which they could have done elsewhere.

But the other people in the ICU were very serious. From my glass door, I could see many people crying as they left the rooms.

it's pretty bad. it means that the person is seriously sick.
