Is there an equivalent to intensive care unit in psychological disorders?

I am supportless and emotionally harressed by my family.I have a Narcissic Personality Disorder associated with intense guilt,so does my dad,my mom is borderline and no understanding from the rest of the family.I'm not working, studying or doing anything for everyday living.it seems neither therapy did much to help me though I'm through various types through the last 3 years.I'm only 21 and alone(no brother's,sister's,good cousins).I've isolated myself from friends,I'm afraid of people,my head and my heart feel as if I'm drunk,I get drousy very easy,I've become very sleepy, very sensitive to cold.Though I still have few friends I don't know how should I ask for help especially that I'm not able to relate emotionally.I'm very smart and read some books for the last year but still there's no one activity I was able to sustain repeatedly for more than a few times. My most hated question is "What about you Andrew?I think it's time to move,to let others be interested in yourself....".

Well, there is an intensive care equivalent - psychiatric hospital, but frankly you have to be in a bad state to need to go there. Right now I guess you need some form of talk therapy - your GP can refer you. In the meanwhile, try dropping in to one of my favourite haunts: http://www.crazyboards.org - it's a site for every flavour of mental illness and psychiatric condition. You'll meet otherw with the same problems, and can talk without fear of judgement or criticism.

They only way to crawl out of this hole is to see a psychotherapist and stop making excuses for yourself.

Well boohoo.... I have got a lot of problems too.
Don't bother about being smart or whatever but do things that cheer you up. No one cares for smart people who know they are smart. About the sleep thing, if you don't want to sleep, don't do it (unless some one is making you do it. Well then, that can't be helped, can it now?)
Who says you must keep doing the same thing over and over again; only wound up toys do that. This is important: get away from people who judge your every move. And if you can't do that, just let it be and do what they want you to do. The people who often complain about you not sticking to something, usually have a personal agenda. So do the thing they want. (Anyway, it seems to me you ain't got nothing big on your mind for your life anyway) You'll see them back off after some time.
About "letting others be interested in you" thing, well, whoever said that was very, very interested in your life already. (to comment like that on your life which by the way shouldn't be their business anyways)

Honey there is no intensive care units for people that have mental problems just the plain old Psychiatric Unit. If you feel like your losing it I would go to the nearest hospital that has a psychiatric unit. Good Luck

Hi, I can really relate to you. I think we have the same problems. I sent you an e mail, I would appreciate it if you would reply. We can help each other.
