Yo! I have very dry skin, what products can I use to moisten my skin?

I mean it get real dry and itches sometimes! and Vaseline Intensive Care definitely does not work for me!

Lubraderm is very good.

Try something with oatmeal in it. Oatmeal can help relieve itchyness.

try lotion. and not ur "special" lotion. regular everyday lotion. ok not that one either. jus regular lotion. xD

butter.

eucerin is good...i use it on my dry skin

Use Water.A very natural product!

I agree with Ashy, Eucerin is very good, I have been using it for several years now and it works great. I used to get really bad dry patches but not anymore.

You can use Skin Therapy Lotion Colloidal Oatmeal by Nature's Gate. Buy the kind with the oatmeal in it. It's for dry, itchy skin. It usually costs about $9 for an 18 fl oz. (The link below shows it for less than that)

Take warm showers instead of really hot ones. Put the Vaseline on when you're still wet. Pat yourself dry instead of rubbing the water away. If you're bathing, use Aveeno oatmeal powder. Make sure the water is lukewarm. The hot water dries your skin out.

I work in a hospital and we use prescription strength cremes on patients who have dry skin. Know what they prescribe? Eucerin or Aquaphor. It's expensive but it works. Eucerin lotion is good, however, the Creme is thicker and even better. Lastly, you can also use baby oil in the shower.

for dry skin only lotions and cream is not sufficient check out for indian ayurvedic therepy you can have better results .

Eucerin or Aveeno...

Also I have the same problem. Something I do is keep my lotions right by the toilet and sink. When I am using the bathroom I try to at least a couple times a day put lotion on while I am sitting there. When I am done washing my hands I put lotion on almost every time.
EVERYTIME I get out of the shower I am just in the habit of putting lotion on. Whenever I change my clothes I put lotion on.
I know it seems excessive but I get so dry my skin cracks...it itches...it hurts. This has pretty much stopped the problem.
Oh also before bed I layer it on thick!
My hands and arms probably get lotion at least seven times a day.My legs and body probably at least three. I know looking at it that probably seems like a lot to do but it becomes part of your routine!
Another thing I do is put baby oil in the bathtub...that helps a lot too!

After you shower, while your skin is still damp, apply and massage in a light coat of almond oil all over your body. This is especially lovely if you scent it with a little aromatherapy oil, such as lavender or rose. Best to do this at night on your way to bed, both because it will soak into your skin better and so that it will not stain any delicate fabrics in your clothes.

If you do this 3-4 times a week, and use a loofah or body scrub to exfoliate in between, and drink lots and lots of water to really hydrate your skin well from the inside, you will notice a dramatic difference in your skin tone in a couple of weeks. Your sweetheart will love what it does to your skin too. ;-)

I pretty much agree with the rest, except for the water. If it is tub water it contains a small amount of chlorine that dries your skin. That's way after a shower you should use a moisturizer.

Try pure olive oil (not a typed one), cover your skin, do a mild massage, keep it for about 30 minutes. Guaranteed results.

Hey! Have you tried straight Aloe, I mean straight from the plant? It worked wonders for me and you now where it is coming from!
