HELP NEEDED PLEASE my best friend is..?

Hi and thank you for reading this-
My best friend named Johnny who is only 9 years old got hit by a car on Friday and is suffering from 2 broken ribs up by his shoulder,the shoulder is pretty messed up too,and he has a fractured pelvis in the front and back,along with a concusion and has minor bleeding of the brain,but the hospital has gotten alot of catscans and they say it probably wont need surgery because it comes back the same everytime,which is good.

I went to see him Sunday March 9th,and he looks okay in the face,but he doesn't remember or know where he is,and he will say stupid stuff like he is the ocean or a jungle,the doctors said it has to do with the concusion.After I seen him and was in his room I started feeling bad,then when me and my parents got to the elevator I passed out [[literally fell on the ground]]

Also he is in pediatrics in the hospital,not the I.C.U [[intensive care unit]]

My questions are-
1.What are his chances and how long will it take to get his memory back,and too start talking and such.
2.Is there any chance that he could die or have permanent damage to his brain.
3.How do I handle this because im very upset about this.
4.What kind of treatment will he need?
Also add any kind of help or advice.

Nobody can predict that right now. Sometimes brain injuries start out really bad and then get better. Other times brain injuries get worse.

There is a chance he could die. There is also a chance that he will have permanent damage to his brain.

Talk to your parents, your teachers, your friends- it's a very stressful time for you and it helps to talk about it with other people.

4.What kind of treatment will he need?

Right now he needs lots of monitoring by the nurses and doctors. He also needs his broken bones stabilized and kept still.

Also add any kind of help or advice.

I'm sorry you're going through this trauma. It must be very stressful for you. You sound like a very good friend.

Hmm, I am sorry to hear about your situation, I can see that you care for him deeply. Perhaps the reason for you passing out was due to intense emotions, and grief seeing what happened to him. If you need someone to talk to about it more, please add me to Yahoo messenger. It is hard for me to see others suffering. In any way.

Most likely his memory and sanity will come back in due time. Concussions have may have that effect.

first of all be his friend to all this. he could come out very bad or not bad at all it can take mos maybe a year before his memory comes back. i am not sure that they told you everything or your parents. he maybe ok and it may work out but when one has concussion its bad and it takes time for the brain to heal but hes young. so just put on happy face and help and go over often and help. its just you are very sensitive and that is why you fained. you will be ok as time goes on and you see hes ok take care.

Be patient and pray. Johnny will be fine. The ribs can take up to ten weeks to mend, and depending on the severity of the concussion, you can expect to see some improvement within a week. Rest assured, Johnny will be fine. Good luck, and cheers.

I AM SOOO SORRY! Just pray 4 him and god will take care of it....what happens is what is ment to happen....it will probably take a while 4 him to recover but introduce him to things that he used to like...try to get him to remember!

Young brains can heal. All you can do is hope that he receives good medical care. You may want to pray he does. In America many successful doctors are being promoted for not giving medical care and saving insurance companies money. It is hit or miss in some hospitals with this conflict of interest.

After re-reading your post.... I have to say that quite frankly...you sound even older then 13.
I mean, I have a 13 year old grandchild with a "A - B grade average" who doesn't write as well as you do.
Yet you say your BEST friend is only 9 years old?
