HELP/ADVICE NEEDED>>please read and respond?

Hi and thank you for reading this-
My best friend named Johnny who is only 9 years old got hit by a car on Friday and is suffering from 2 broken ribs up by his shoulder, the shoulder is pretty messed up too,and he has a fractured pelvis in the front and back, along with a concusion and has minor bleeding of the brain, but the hospital has gotten alot of catscans and they say it probably wont need surgery because it comes back the same everytime, which is good.

I went to see him Sunday March 9th,and he looks okay in the face, but he doesn't remember or know where he is,and he will say stupid stuff like he is the ocean or a jungle, the doctors said it has to do with the concusion. After I seen him and was in his room I started feeling bad, then when me and my parents got to the elevator I passed out [[literally fell on the ground]]

Also he is in pediatrics in the hospital, not the I.C.U [[intensive care unit]]

My questions are-
1.What are his chances and how long will it take to get his memory back, and too start talking and such.
2.Is there any chance that he could die or have permanent damage to his brain.
3.How do I handle this because im very upset about this.
4.What kind of treatment will he need?
Also add any kind of help or advice.

Also we did get all the info from his mother and father at the hospital, and I do know what im talking about.I do care about him and I love him so much.
--------------------------------------...
I wish I could go back in time and pushed him out of the way so I would of gotten hit,not him.I would take a car, bullet, beating,or anything, anytime, anywhere for him.

The Hospital he is at is a large hospital and has done ALOT of good to help kids, cancer patients, and injured people. They are a WONDERFUL hospital and im sure he is getting the best

I'm sorry about your best friend being injured.
If he is out of the Intensive Care Unit and is now out on the Pedi Ward, this is a very good sign.
He should be okay, but any kind of a traumatic head injury will take some time to heal.
No one can say for sure exactly how long, at this point but please try not to worry too much.
Chances are good that he will make a full recovery.
Just be there for him as you have been doing and that will help him more than you know.
You are a good friend, sweetie. Bless you both.

Thank you so much!
I do hope that your friend is doing better now.
Spacecat Report It

it is probably a good idea to ask the nurse or doctor who is looking after johnny for the most accurate answer. i hope he recovers soon

wow im really sry i feel bad but i no nuthin about this subject so i cant anser all ur questions with a 100% guarantee

Wow, that's a lot of drama for a kid your age. It sounds like he is in stable condition. If he is out of ICU and the bleeding is under control, he will probably be fine. I wish him the best. If you are having problems coping, maybe talk to one of your parents, or an aunt or uncle, someone you trust. He is lucky to have a friend like you.

I dont know about that stuff, but good luck, and try not to let it bug you too much in the sence that theres not much you can do.

You can see clearly that you are deeply worried and stressed about this hence the fainting. He is not in ICU so that is a good thing. The best you can do for him is pray and hope and noone can give you medical advice on here as they do not know the full extent of the situation. Sit tight and hope that he will recover. Spending time with him be good in the hospital but dont let this consume you either. Good luck.

Don't worry too much, people usually recover from concussions succesfully. The chances of it being fatal are pretty slim as the scans reveal nothing and the only chance of him dying is through internal brain hemorrhage which I am sure was already checked by the doctors. The only way you can cope with this is by helping him as in helping him, you also help yourself in accepting his injuries. Try visiting him as often as possible cause all he need now is your love.

There is only a few things you can do for him. Make sure he/she is confortable and keep him in your thoughts and prayers and take care of yourself. He would not want you to be sick and in the hospital too. Everything will be OK!

I don't like that he doesn't know who he is and he says stupid stuff like he is an environment or whatever, hopefully that will pass but there is always the chance that it won't.

As far as his breaks and cracks are concerned, they will heal, and they may hurt or give him bad posture or other problems after, so once healed he should go to a skilled massage therapist that is into structural integration to get his body properly balanced back to where it should be at

I'd say his chances of survival are excellent but until he regains his memory, you are justified in worrying about his mental health

Do not worry.Doctors know best. They have X rays catscans and monitors..If they are not panic, there is no reason for you to be.
I know a bit about homeo pathy. you can go on line and find about it too.
There is one magic medicine to give in any internal injury or external and it is called ARNICA.
another is Mille folium the third is Aconite.
If you get advice from a homeopath, he will tell you about them.
also it is possible a person lose his memory for some time after a shock.
Don't panic. trust the doctors and pray..Good Luck

Hi,

I am not a doctor or anything but I did have a serious accident when I was 15. I did not have any fractures, but I was in coma for a day and I lost all functions of my body for a week, and only gained my balance after like three weeks.

I could not walk, digest or even sit down.

That was many years ago and I am ok. I did loose the hearing on my left ear where the impact was, but my right is prefect and it has not affected my life. I graduated from school college, masters, got married, and have kids. Hey, and they did not have all the cool technology and diagnosis devices they have today!

My point is that the brain is an amazing thing. And I think your friend can recuperate completly. If the doctors say he will be ok, he must likely will. It might take some time, so the support of friends like you will be very important.

If he is saying some stuff that does not make sense is normal to be very confused after a concussion, and it should also pass. Like I said, I am not a doc, but I have gone through a head injury.

Think of the professional boxers that get hit in the head all the time, and most of them are ok. Mind you they have too many and repeated concussions, which must be really bad.

I hope your friend recuperates completly, and keep very strong so you can help him. I understand is not easy to see someone you care about hurting, and in desiree.

Good luck!

give it a week or two, he took a pretty good blow. as the rest of his body starts to heal, hopefully, so will his head trauma. he will most likely not die. the doctors will take good care of him, and im sure he will be fine!

he may need some physical therapy, or speech therapy to help him to regain his normal movement in those muscles and get back to normal.

hes going through a really hard time, and is going to need your freindship now more than ever. stick by him as he gets better. visit him often, and talk to him about what's going on. remember, johnny is still johnny, but for now, hes just a little hurt. that doesnt make him less of a person. when he is better, he will (most likely) still be exactly the same. some people may not be his freinds anymore, because he's been gone from school for a while when he comes back, and that's when he will need you the most. remember to be a good freind. thats about all you need to know. just be a good freind.

stay with him make sure he starts to know uc

F*ck white bit*hes!!!!!!!!
