Best friend anorexic...?

Ok so she missed a yr of school and had to be put in intensive care. She is doing much better now but her family still accociates everything with it. how can I help her?

just tell her ur there for her. and get her to talk. this is gonna sound weird, but iam glad she's there to still talk to u. my best friends sister was anorexic, except that she refused to get therapy, and she died. she left a big impact behind her. and as for ur friends parents, i think after a little while, when ur friends starts eating normally again, they'll come to trust her. tell ur friend if she knows about ur question, that iam glad she's okay, and she's lucky to have a friend like u and still be alive and battling anorexica. good luck!!!

Keep an eye on her, make sure she eats healthy.

always focus on the positive gains she is making. do not focus on the negatives.

buy her a big mac

well you cant really do anything about what other people thinks about it. but as her best friend, let her know that you will always be there for her. help her be strong and help her go through all the criticisms on her. be a best friend to her. giver her a leaning shoulder.

Well her family needs to stop being jerks and get over it!

People get sick all the time, there's no reason for family of all people to throw it in their face.

Just being a good friend that she can talk to is good enough!
Make lunch dates and movies dates, etc.

well i dont think there is anythin you can do i mean come on she may get offended if you try in get involved in something like this after they have been away for so long, i suggest you just be nice to her and baycb

All joking aside, please get your friend to see a psychiatrist....
If the USA cant help her, bring her to Gt Britain, we actually value life...

keep an eye on her, but not too much, because she can feel upset that you don't trust her. Take her out and make her feel like you're always there for her. Just show her that you care.

I'm sure you've already tried this, but you should talk to her. Just u and her. Always encourage her to eat (healthy) and NEVER encourage her to throw up, etc., Always discourage that.... when she wants to remind her... she could be killed by that and tell her she is beautiful at her normal weight (not skin and bones). I'm not anorexic, i just have a high metabolism and some people think I'm anorexic, but I know it helps me when no one really brings up the subject and always treats me normally, not like i have a health problem (unless she needs it).
Sorry... i know i type alot. =) good luck hope she gets better
