Can anyone give me some simple meal ideas for insulin resistance? |
What types of stuff should I eat? What can I have for breakfast, or what about snacks? I like to have yogurt for snacks but wouldnt that be bad because of sugar in it? If i am out with friends Two pouched eggs over ham on whole wheat toast. Lunch I either will eat soup, salad or a sandwich on whole wheat bread. The main thing to watch is your carb in take. Nothing white but you can have whole wheat. Also no juice . My nutristionist has me following the following. Breakfast 25-30 carbs, Lunch 35-40 dinner 40-60 snack 15-20. Each is a gram. Also I must have 3 ounces of protien at each meal. I would try a low carb diet,breakfast you can have a turkey sausage and egg,lunch salad,dressing,cheese,diet pop in between water,water,water,snacks can be sugar free pudding,ice cream,Atkins has very good snack bars just dint eat to much it will give you diarrhea.dinner,baked meats,salad,green vegetable.Try the Atkins Diet get the book it will give you all types of menu or you can try south beach. Learn about carb counting. South Beach Diet book is excellent one explaining the role of carbs and how to manage them. |
