Insomnia!? |
can't fall asleep even when i am really tired. if i go to bed at, say, 10, i will finally fall asleep around 2 and wake up between 5 and 7. normally, i would fall asleep at about 11 and wake up around 9 or 10 (not during school days, of course). have had this problem for about 2.5 weeks. people have suggested drinking milk, herb tea, going to the gym, and reading. have tried all and havent worked. i am allmost 14, 6ft tall and158lbs. I have a good diet and am very fit. what can i do other than going to the doctor? Sounds like you may have some anxiety about something. Even when you think you are fine, anxiety can be the underlying issue causing the lack of sleep. I suggest taking deeper breaths before you fall asleep to relax your body. there's nothing to do but go to the doctor that's a pretty serious problem. you should be careful with sleeping pills, but if your sleep cycle continues this way you will become very unhealthy, a sleeping pill i was on that i liked was trazodone because it didn't make me drowsy the next day. take melatonin1 from gnc they are an all natural herb. I have insomnia too, but I had it a bit worse. I would go for days without sleeping, and I tried everything because I didn't want to go to the doctor. Finally I gave in and went, and they gave me some good sleeping pills. |
