Ugh. Insomnia is back. Please help!?

I had horrible insomnia a couple of months ago but it was fixed when I was put on antidepressants. I stopped taking the antidepressants because there was no other need for them except the insomnia. It has been about a month of me not taking any antidepressants and the insomnia is back. I really don't want to depend on expensive drugs so I am trying to find an inexpensive way to get some decent shut eye. I really don't like the idea of downing a pill in order to get some sleep so if you have any suggestions other than pills or medication, please let me know.

Try excercise during the afternoon.

Increase "B" vitamins. Increase exercise. Get some BRIGHT light early in the morning (in case SAD is part of it) Take supplemental melatonin (small dose) in the evening.

don't know if it would work for you - but when i can't sleep
i buy NIGHTNURSE medicine over the counter - it can't be that strong - but it worked for me when prescription pills didn't! after
a night or two my sleep pattern goes back to normal - its supossed to be for colds and flu but it makes me sleep!
good luck

Keep off the drugs. No matter how long you stay awake, you will eventually sleep, whether you like it or not.
