Insomnia and prescription sleep meds? |
I have battled insomnia for years. Like many insomnia sufferers it will go in spurts. I will sleep like a baby for months and then my insomnia will kick in. I will then get a prescription for a sleep med and take it nightly. I went through a period where I took Ambien regularly and then it completely stopped working. I had heard all the bad stories about Ambien so I stopped taking it. The last few months I have been taking Lunesta. It gets me to sleep but I wake up a few hours later. read this, do this, remember this and you won't have insomnia anymore... did same as you same meds not sure there is an answer Here is a good site that I found with some good tips to help you out http://insomnia-relief-center.com I have the same problem with not being able to shut my mind off, hopefully some of these tips will help you with that. Maybe u should learn some ways to overcome your insomnia problem through hypnosis at my profile. you probably need an all natural sleep aid just like Sleep So Good cream.. |

Hi i have exactly the same problem and your not imaginging it i went to my doctor and he put me on light sleeping tablets there brilliant. I know half a nights sleep is no fun so go to your doctor ... Maybe you should be on a higher dose? I had the same problem when I first started it. Then within the first 2 weeks I started getting really sleepy early in the morning after taking it. Try taking... I have that same problem No naps No Caffeine of any kind after noon No exercise after 5pm Dark room cool temp ...Take your Adderall first thing in the morning and cut out all caffine and alcohol (gradually if you need to). I would take the advice of some of the others on the list about insomnia. Look it u... Insomnia is often caused by fear, stress, anxiety, medications, herbs, caffeine, depression or sometimes for no apparent reason. Make sure your bedroom is quiet and dark. Soak a tablespoon of mint... Don't torture yourself. The worst thing that an insomniac can do is to lie in bed tossing and turning. If you can't fall asleep after 15 to 20 minutes, get up and do a quiet activity, suc... If you are attending an evening yoga class, your yogi will have you doing a lot of relaxing poses that will have you sleeping well. If you are doing a video at home, hopefully they have an a.m. an... First off i think all those sleeping pills and remedies and alcohol is making it worse. Also i would then talk to a doctor and ask him/her to recommend someone for you.
