Insomnia... need to advice to sleep? |
What can you do to cure insomnia? I can be exhausted but my brain is overactive and I lay awake for hours and hours. What are some relly good tips to overcome this and actually get some decent rest? 1. Follow a positive routine. don't eat before you go to sleep and don't use the bed except for sleeping...and omg take it easy and don't think about things too much...learn how your mind works.... Have drink of red wine to relax you. Also, get up at the same time every morning, even if you don't have to be anywhere. Good luck. Wish I could help. Do not read or watch TV for at least an hour before you go to bed. I have a CD called Delta Sleep System; it is not meditation but a series of pleasant sounds that induces correct position for the brain chemistry for sleep. Try warm milk...the tryptophan in it is a sleep aid. Melatonin is also a sleep aid for some but you have to go easy with it. If you know of, or have a naturopathic doc you should talk to him or her.
