Insomnia is just killing me D:? |
im a 13 yr old teen. I have the same problem. I don't like to take any type of pills which includes sleeping pills. The only natural way I have found to sleep regular hours is to be physically active and eating healthy. I work out every day at the gym or go for a run. I eat healthy food at the right times of the day. By the time bed time rolls around, I am ready to pass out. Plus, I'm nice and fit. Be careful because as you get older this problem will not go away. Many people turn to alcohol because it makes them pass out. Not a good thing!! You got too much time on your hands.. take up hobbie or sport or heres an idea.. HELP THE FAMILY!!! LOL i used to have insomnia... stress out Hey, I'm 16 and I go to bed way late, (3-4 am) and usually wake up around 10-11. Insomnia normally will effect you alot more drastically. Try not taking a nap, and going to bed at a reasonable hour? Are you going through anything that is causing you to be more nervous/stressed? seems u are just nocturnal...try doing a lot of stuff one day and then just begin layin in bed at like 8 o'clock. get yourself back on the 10 to 6 sleep routine...lol exercising in the morning helps, be more active during the day. or force yourself to wake up earlier so you get tired at night - but dont take naps before then. Ellen i had the same problem a while back and used to go to bed at 5 and slept til 230 the problem might be that your blaring alarm clock is keeping you up because you keep staring at it and that keeps you awake, or your room maybe too hot or too cold or your bed just might suck *** get as new bed or sleep on the couch or trade with a family member for a few nites good luck!! also take an advil about 1nce every 5-6 days NOT EVERY NIGHT!- (trust me..) good luck! Try this: a cup of warm (not hot) milk with apple cider (about 1/5 the portion of the milk). Drink an hour before you want to sleep. It's impt to have a good night sleep, so try not to nap in between. Good luck. you're still getting about 7 hours of sleep per day. try setting your alarm clock at aroung 7am-8am. even if you fell asleep at 6am wake up at 7am. eventually your body will get used to the time change. The reason is you fall asleep at 4am so your body thinks that 4 is normal. Don't take naps and no coffee or sodas after lunch. Most sodas have extra caffeine even the clear or fruit flavored ones. You also have to stay with a sleep pattern. Don't go to sleep at 9pm one night and 3am the next night. And avoid TV and listening to music after 10pm. You said "no medicine" but I hope you'll keep an open mind. I am a fellow sufferer of insomnia. But just recently they have come up with help for us that is not dangerous or habit-forming ! This is a big deal! Any doctor will prescribe these meds because they are so safe. They help you fall asleep within 20 minutes. They are Ambien, Lunesta, and Rozerem. Please consider at least talking to your doctor or your phamacist about these great meds. They'll change your life. No more boring nights alone in the dark. Please think about it. Very sincerely, Lynn Feel free to e-mail me. :) some home remedies you could try are thiamine or vitamin B it is of special significance in the treatment of insomnia; A body starved of thiamine over a long period will be unable to relax and fall asleep naturally. haha! |
