sprayed insecticide a bunch of times and threw away a bed with no results, also no pets

After 5 tries it may be time to hire an expert. Are you sure you are applying product in the right places?

If you want to give the DIY method a one-last-ditch-effort, try the following:

Use a product that is specifically labled for many different household pests, AND bedbugs. A good one is D-FORCE HPX.

Following treatment, wash all bedding in water as hot as possible, and place in the dryer on a hot setting for at least 20 minutes.

Inspect inside your furniture. If any evidence of bedbugs exist in your dresser, wash and dry all clothing following the above instructions.

Inspect the closet. If any evidence of bedbugs exist in the closet, wash and dry all clothing inside the closet following the above instructions.

Vaccuum thoroughly.

You may need to re-treat again in two weeks following initial application, to exterminate the offspring before they lay their eggs.

Keep a close watch for bedbug activity and reapply product every few months if necessary. Many times it takes several applications to resolve a bedbug infestation.

sounds like you have fleas. do you have any pets?

Bed Bugs are the worst thing that could happen to a persons home and very hard to get rid of. I had a bed bug problem for over a year and even after 4 pest control treatments (professional) they didn鈥檛 go away. I eventually had to move to a new apartment. Heres an article I wrote on everything bed bugs, what to do, how to spot, etc.
