How to get rid of mosquitoes from homes?

What is the name of the effective insecticide available in the market that can be sprayed to control mosquitoes in the homes.

if you eat lots of garlic and its a hot day, you will sweat and the sensitive smell the mosquito's have will sense the garlic and be repeled by it. I eat lots of garlic nowadays and use this pure lavender oil stuff that they really dont lke so this way im not only healthy, relaxed and with soft skin (and smelling nice) but also bite free! try it!!

and to keep them out of your home in general the best thing to do is get rid of places they can fester and breed in.

Try filling bags of muslin with basil and then hang them around the house and by doors the little biters hate it and so do most flying insects. Report It

Citronella candles work nicely. Also there are products like roach killers that u can put on ur floor. I would know, i live in Michigan.

very difficult . if you are in africa try drug coated nets

Raid is usually pretty good.
make sure you are not leaving any standing water (pools, bird baths, etc) around your house because that is where they thrive and the problem will just keep coming back even if you spray.

insecticides are bad as they poison food and water indirectly.
allelthrin is a common compund used as a non toxic, insect repellent in coils-which can be lit or in vapourizers which can be bought over the shelf

baygon

clean ur house regularly from any water stagnant or any place mosquitoes can breed.

Mortein spray or Aerosol spray.

Home Depot and Loews sell citronella plants. They cost about 3 dollars each. You can either plant them in your yard or in pots. I have several in pots around my yard and they work great.

My friend bought Victors Mosquito Barrier online and it worked great, But if you can not find it, such as I, you can make this simple recipe I found online. And IT WORKS GREAT!!!

1 gallon of canola cooking oil
16oz jar of fresh crushed garlic
1 bottle of Vicks Vapor Steam
1 lawn pump sprayer

Pour the entire jar of garlic into the oil, let it sit for 2 days.
Strain all the garlic out. Once completely strained, pour about one inch of oil into the Pump sprayer, then fill half way with room temp water (about 1.5 gallons), add 2 tablespoons of Vick Vapor Steam.
Spray it heavy around the base of the house and normal through-out your yard. This should work great until it rains. Then spray as needed. I have been using it for 3 years in Alaska where the mosquitoes will fly you to there home and share you with friends and family. :)
