How can you stop insect bites from itching in a natural, non-painful way?

Theres a lot of mosquitoes in my area, and I can't escape the summer without scars from their bites, is there a natural way I can stop the bites from itching without the pain that some remedies bring?

If you get to it in the first 10-15 minutes you can wipe some vinegar on it. If you wait longer than that then you can put a drop of Lavender, eucalyptus or tea tree essential oils on it.

if u dont mind u have a medicine in homoeopathy for this purticular problem called STRAPHY SAGRIA it can be taken and get ride of this problem .please mail me drsripriyabhms@yahoo.com Report It

I have also found that crushed mint or peppermint leaves work. Mint leaves/ peppermint leaves also work at repelling flies while working in the yard. Just graba handful that you grow in your garden, crush them to release the oils, or boil them in a little bit of water and rub it on your skin Report It

simple way is to add a drop of water on the bite and sprinkle salt

Use an antihistamine cream, or put a little vinager on them.

you can stop most itching and swelling by rubbing a little ammonia on the bite, the sooner the better

To stop mosquito bites itching lick with your own saliva.

This gem handed down by the grandfather of N. Adam

Or meat tenderiser. A white granular powder made from papaya derivatives (also called papain). Mix about 1 teaspoon of the tenderizer into 1 cup of water. Just dab onto bite and it will stop itching right away. This keeps well in a clean screw top jar.

Thanks to Lisa Lindemann for this one.

i use rubbing alcohol

Soap and water usually stops the itch. :)

i use liquid soap, always stops the itching.

make a meat tenderizer paste. The papaya enzyme in the meat tenderizer neutralizes the toxin from the sting
