What are the effects of inhalants when inhaled? |
teenagers using inhalants in america The effect depends on the chemical inhaled. Some make your brain swell and it feels like a natural high. Some release the ceratonan (however you spell it:) in you body to make you happy for a little while(Also the effect of X). You get a great feeling when inhaling camera cleaner or Nitrous. DEATH Inhalants can make you retarded for life. various death, damaged brain cells, dizzyness, heart failure If you mean things like furniture polish of air freshener they could end up BRAIN DEAD! Kill brain cells that will never come back, and could cause a heart attack and irreversible heart damage and respiratory problems. dead brain cells=stupid person They make you more stupid than you want to be by intoxicating you by depriving the brain of oxygen. My best advice "DON'T DO IT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES" Doing this will desoty yur bairn. One of the guys in my high school when I was attending died from inhaling solvents. The effect according to the medical world is similar to drowning. One breathes deeply but gets little oxygen, tries to get some and gets little, slowly fades from consciousness and then dies from lack of oxygen. Except instead of choking on water, it feels like one can breathe it. Inhalants are aerosols or gases which make their way to the alveoli in the lungs. This is where gas exchange and ventilation occurs. Gas exchange is possible because the alveoli is a very thin one celled barrier between blood and air. Oxygen and inhalents can diffuse across this barrier into the blood very easily. Once in the blood they go to all organs and cells, including the brain. The brain has a very rich blood supply, and so does the heart. So inhalents are quickly absorbed and have a quick onset due to the method of administration. Depending on their pharmacology, they may affect the heart, lungs, brain or other tissues. When vapors are inhaled (1), they are absorbed through the lungs (2) and enter the bloodstream (3). Once in the bloodstream, the chemicals travel to the brain (4) and other tissues throughout the body. Most inhalants that are abused depress the functioning of the nervous system. However, the effects of each inhalant are difficult to determine because each product in made up many different chemicals and each person may breathe in different amounts of each chemical. Nevertheless, these chemicals do have significant effects on the nervous system. if they can still spell it, BRAIN DAMAGE inhalants effect your brain, |
