Influenza, 'lil scared. what can i do? |
ok today i was holding a child at work (child care center) and the child coughed right in my face. well when she was finally sent home, i talked to her mother after the doctors appointment and she told me the child has Influenza. i fear i might have gotten it. my throat already hurts from others being sick in the center, and i fear that it will only get worse, and i could devoelope this virus. She said there is no medician for curing this, it just has to take its course and only meds that can help the symptoms can be taken. is there anything i can do for myself. I really cant miss work and i havent got my insurance yet cause i just started the job 3-4 weeks ago. I hate being sick! Thanks to anyone who answers. no flu shot sadly, :( The only thing I can think of is to stay well hydrated and take your vitamins (esp. vitamin C). In addition try to stay rested. This will give your body a fighting chance. Influenza is a virus and we have no treatments to rid ourselves of it but only to help our bodies fight it off. |
