Is influenza contagious? if so, how long should I stay away from someone who has it?

Influenza is flu. Yes, its quite contagious. I would stay away from close contact for about a week or so.

its the same thing as flu...see inFLUenza. i dont kno quite how long to stay away, it is contagious though.
