Does anyone on here suffer with Inflammatory Bowel Disease?

I don't suffer from it. But, from the sounds of the medication you are taking, it sounds like a steroid someone I knew took for other reasons. I can guaranty you it makes you gain weight if it is truely the medication I am thinking of.
You might consult your pharmacist to see what they say about side effects, you might also consult your doctor.. that's what they are there for.

Yes i do but have never taken the drug you mention. I take Buscopan, with no side effects at all. Its very good when the IBS flares up.

i dont think prednisone helps IBS unless you've got a severe case and even so, it won't do much good.

have you thought about diet? that seems to be the best option out there.

try keeping a food diary...you might find what aggrivates the issue and your health will improve once you figure the trigger foods out.

I have IBS. I gave up on doc's 2 years ago because I would buy medicine that didn't work or make things worse. I have tried lots of herbal supplements. Some work for awhile than they stop. I do wonder if I have IBD because sometimes it feels like my colon is on fire. I hope you get better soon. I have prayed to get better for yea rs. I also pray for others who suffer from it.
