Is infertility due to mumps permanent, or we can treat it?

I am male 26 and contracted virus from my nephew, have little bit of swelling bloew my left ear ,and might worsen. I wanted to ask if infertility occurs due to this, how much danger of infertility do i have,, and wat chances of its reversal if infertility ever happen ? im really tense, pls help

Please be sure that its the mumps and have been diagnosed by a doctor. It might not be the mumps but if it is I am sorry to say that infertility is permanent.

first make sure that its mumps.Second thing is that not all cases of males infected with mumps become infertile. In Only 27 % of cases, testes are involed and if both sides are involed then it may lead to infertility.in only 17% cases its bilateral.and it affects fertility, not neccessarily make affected indivisual infertile Consult your doctor and dont worry
