BV and infertility?

If bv (bacterial vaginosis) goes untreated for too long can it cause infertility?

No, BV shouldn't affect your fertility, no matter how long it goes untreated. What you are thinking of is gonorrhea and chlamydia which, if untreated, can travel up into the uterus and cause pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). This is a problem, because PID can destroy the inner lining of the fallopian tubes, making the person infertile. BV, however, to the best of my knowledge, has not been found to invade the uterus and, even if it were to do lots of damage to the vaginal wall, that would have no effect on fertility. This definitely does not mean that you should delay treatment. If you think that you have an infection, you need to go in and get it treated.
