Yeast Infections = Infertility?

Can constant yeast infections (meaning 3+ times per year) due to the use of birth control cause infertility over time? Please provide med references.

No but frequent Pelvic Inflammatory infections(PID) can these can cause scarring of the fallopian tubes which would make it difficult for an egg to travel to the cervix from the ovaries....one of the most common sexually transmitted disease is the HPV virus men are silent carriers and this can cause precancerous changes in a womans cervix.....Planned Parenthood has a wealth of information as well as your local health deptment
Hope this helps....
if your having constant yeast infections you may want to also have your sexual partner treated they can harbour infection and not even know it....wear cotton panties......avoid tight pants..avoid douching(if you must limit to 1 a month and use vinegar and water)make sure your doctor has checked for other infections such as chlamydia....and if he rx's diflucan 150 mg ask if he can give 3 doses over 3 days instead of the usual 1 dose/1 time.

I'm only 15..but i have a 20 year old sister using birth control..she too has alot of yeast infections- u can still have babies it doesn't do anything to stunt it..b/c alot of things cause yeast infections...irritation b.c of underwear... tight clothes... it's normal- it's annoying but normal

im not sure about the use of birth control. but my 2 friends who get yeast infections all the time had 4 kids each. so i dont think it will cause infertility...but im not sure.

No it will not cause infertility but have you given consideration to what causes the infection? I know it sounds odd but you could be allergic to latex. Condoms can cause infections and ones with spermicide are more likely to give you infections. You could also be allergic to your partner's sperm. I know because I had those problems. I know it sounds weird but figure I swear that is what my doc said. Take care of the root of the problem.
