Can a cyst create infertility?

For 3 years my ex-husband and I were trying to conceive, nothing happened. My ob-gyn told me to do this ovulation chart which I never did and left it up to God to bless me. Recently I found out that I have a cyst on my left ovary and was told it doesn't cause infertility. Although they claim it must have been there for a while cause it's big. Please help.

Hey there. Good morning. The cyst won't create infertility in and of itself but it can get in the way of flow. If studied on a purely scientific level, conception is a major accident. It's a wonder that it happens. Anything in the way is, well, in the way. My sister had cyst problems years ago after her first (and only at the time) little girl. She surgically had everything cleaned up and now (it's been several years...another ex-situation) is pregnant. Hope this is encouraging for when you try again. Jeff the nurse in Nashville.

My sister had a cyst on her ovary. She never had it removed and she has 3 children

Ovarian cysts do not cause infertility. I have polycystic ovaries, multiple cysts on both ovaries, and I have gotten pregnant once before. Maybe the problem was with your ex and not you. You know infertility is not always the female's problem.

A cyst can lie dormant for a long time.and then grow to enormouse size get it cut out.

There are two ovaries in the females, if both of them are having cyst -Yes, but if one ovary is normal, one has all the chances to have pregnancy.

may r may not. da cyst 'll not creat infertility n it kn b da cause 4 infertility, all depends on da size of da cyst n whr it is located. better 2 remove it ASAP, laproscopically 2 get pregnant bst of luck.
