Male infertility? |
i'm wanting to start a family but my boyfriend who is 45 had a vestecomy 15 years ago and wud consider having a child with me but thinks hes too old now. wot should i do???? or what options is there for us xxx First, you need to have more open communication. Does he want children for his sake or yours? If you get pregnant he might not really want to help much since this was for you. a vasectomy is reversible but first consider the reason your boyfriend had a vasectomy when he did. men can produce viable sperm at almost any age (Anthony Quinn had a child when he was 80!!) you could: well he can have the vasectomy UN done...its a sample surgery...and as for the age, it is your age that really has an effect...sperm is good with old age, but if you are over say 35 or 40 i don't recommend getting pregnant 45 is not particularly old to be producing sperm, so your boyfriend's age is probably not a concern. Vasectomies can often be reversed. I think there's also a medical way to extract sperm straight from the testicle, so even if the vasectomy can't be reversed it's possible to father children. There are also possibilities such as using donor sperm and adopting. But I think you need to spend some more time talking to your boyfriend and before you definitely go ahead with something like this, to make sure it's really what you both want. 1: A vasectomy is reversable It is better to talk with the husband openly about giving birth of child. Later, you can do alternative option, whether to reverse the vestecomy or sperm donation, or adoptation. find another man or adopt he isnt infertile he has made a choice not to have more kids you don't have an operation for no good reason, as you say YOU are wanting to have a family...if he wanted one he'd of had it reversed already.. you need to look at why you want a child - you got into the relationship knowing he'd had a vasectomy |
