What is the difference between infectious and non-infectious diseases?

What is the difference between them and what do they mean other than one being infectious and one not being infectious.

An infectious disease is a clinically evident disease of humans or animals that damages or injures the host so as to impair host function, and results from the presence and activity of one or more pathogenic microbial agents, including viruses, bacteria, fungi, protozoa, multicellular parasites, and aberrant proteins known as prions. Transmission of an infectious disease may occur through several pathways; including through contact with infected individuals, by water, food, airborne inhalation, or through vector-borne spread. The rest of the diseases can be classified as noninfectious diseases. Most of them are degenerative diseases such as diabetes, cancer, mental illness, etc.

Infectious diseases, are those illnesses caused by living organisms ( bacteria, fungi or protozoa or viruses)
Example of this diseases is measles (virus) facial acne (bacteria) athletes foot (caused by fungi) and tapeworm infestation /cause by worm larvae).

Non infectious diseases. are all te rest. I mean, those in which NO living organism intervenes, nor is the cause of, such as a fractures, a torn ligament, allergies, burns, hernias etc..You maybe got the main idea..
