Can depression be caused by infectious diseases such as tonsillitis? |
i' ve had tonsilittis for two days, and now i started to feel depressed. Is it a coincidence? I'm not expert - I'm not even a Dentist - but tonsillitis doesn't directly cause depression - it causes a sore throat. not really =you are just bored as you can't do much right now It might be your medication or the pain is getting you down. Talk to your doctor ASAP!! No, it can't. Clinical depression is defines as experiencing the symptoms of depression for a minimum of two weeks without any relief. You may be feeling down because your immune system is getting a workout right now. It's not depression, though. Once your infection begins to clear, you'll feel better. ummm i think i had wat u had when i was... and i had my tonsils removed- there was nothing to be depressed about because i was apparently supposed to eat a lot of ice cream! Maybe ur depressed because you feel sick, and ur not doing what u normally do... |
