Identify the cause of infectious diseases, which is malaria?

Female Anopheles mosquitoes transmit the disease to humans. They are not the cause, but the vectors. When an infected mosquito bites a human, the parasite (a one-celled protozoan called Plasmodium) living in the mosquito's saliva glands is injected into the person's bloodstream. Symptoms do not appear until 7-30 days after the bite. The parasite goes to the liver and reproduces. Then the person's red blood cells are affected. The classic symptoms are fever, chills, nausea, vomiting and fatigue.
