Top 10 uncontrollable risk factors for infectious diseases?

Top 10 uncontrollable risk factors for infectious diseases?

Control is an illusion.

Here you go.. my very own 'TOP10' list of uncontrllable risk factors for infectious diseases -- these aare the most common, but of course, there are lots more......
1) Air - you cant control the air you breathe
2) Viruses in the water you drink
3) TORCH and other infections of the mother spread to the child across the placenta
4) Infections from mother to child during delivery eg-HIV, HepB, GrBStrep
5) HIV/HepB mother who insists on breast feeding her child
6) Having cystic fibrosis - uncontollable risk of lung infections especially pseudomonas
7) Genetic immunodeificencies - like 'boy in a bubble' disease, immunoglobin deficiencies, etc predispose to getting infections
8) Leukemia
9) Prolonged Intubation - uncontrollable risk of bacterial colonization
10) IV drug abusers, hemophiliacs with repeated blood transfusions

The problem with your question is that you don't identify if it just uncrontrobable to the person who becomes infected (ie could be during surgery) or if no one could prevent it (mosquitoes in Africa)

Here are some I could come up with that no one could prevent:
Air
Insects
Age
Geography
Weather

Here are some I could come up with that the individual could not prevent if someone else transmitted the infection:
Surgery
Mother to Fetus/New Born transmission
Sexual contact (if person lies about their status)
Not washing hands
Food
Drinking Water
AIDs or another immune destroying illness

HOpe that helps.
