Are parrot bites dangerous? Do they infectious diseases?

Are parrot bites dangerous? Do they infectious diseases?

Have you ever heard of parrot fever.
I think you'd better check with your local vet about this.

i don't know about parrots but i have a parakeet and her bites a really just a pinch she doesn't cut any skin if that's what you mean parrot bites might hurt more because they have bigger beaks that are sharper

we own two-a green cheek conure and a goffin cockatoo.
we simply treat a wound like no other-soap and water wash and rinse and apply antibiotic ointment, bandage it for 24-48 hours and then afterwords, we leave the bandage off.

i would assume its not that big of deal if you properly care for a wound.

btw-bartles-our goffin has 2,000 pounds of pressure when he bites so, if the wound is deep, you may need a stitch or two.

otherwise, a butterfly bandage.
