What is the difference between infectious and inherited diseases? Infectious diseases are caused by bacteria and viruses while inherited diseases are those that can be passed on through your genes. You can inherit a certain genetic trait that can cause a disease. Infectuous diseases are caused by bodily infections such as viral fever, cough, malarial fever etc. whereas the inherited diseases are inherited from parents such as diabetese, hypertension etc. infectious diseaseses are those which are aquired due to person to person contact,air borne,infected sources.....for example conjunctivitis,gastroenteritis etc An infectious disease is caused by an opportunistic contact with a virus or bacteria. you can only pass an inherited disease on to your descendants you cant give it to someone by coughing on them etc.etc infectious diseases are caused by direct contact with virus. Infectious disease: A disease that can be transmitted from person to person or from organism to organism, and is caused by a microbial agent. |
