Viral infection, worried might be something worse? |
I have had a sore throat and a burning sensation on the roof of my mouth for 4 weeks, i went to doctor and he told me it was a viral infection cause my swab test came back negative, how long do viral infections last, i thought a few days only, im just a little worried it's caused by smoking, maybe something bad like cancer, i have been smoking for 7 years and im 20 years old. I'm trying to qiut. anyone out there who has had a viral infection that has lasted this long? It doesn't seem to be getting better. Go see an ear, nose and throat specialist. If it was a virus it should have been gone within a few days of you noticing pain. If you aren't running a fever than it is not bacteria caused either. You should probably go to another doctor and get a different opinion. |

That is not true. But, there are literally thousands of viruses. There is no way of knowing if you have caught the same "bug" more than once. Most viruses that cause the common cold al... After a decent viral infection the immune system may be under par and remain so for some months. If you check white blood counts there is often a neutropaenia ( low ... interferon ...She needs to see a doctor as soon as possible to rule out any kind of internal trouble...and make SURE that she is not suffering from an eating disorder! This is very serious & could cause deat... It could be a cold sore or a fever blister. Just keep an eye on it and if it does not go away, then I would go back to the doctor. ...are you on any kind of medication? That is a long time for it to be just a viral infection.
