Viral infection of bones and muscles?

I have severe pain in my bones and muscles. I went to my GP and he ran some blood/urine tests and did an ultrasound. He told me a have a viral infection of my muscles and bones that is causing severe inflamation. I was wondering if anyone else has had anything the same or similar and can give any suggestions for pain relief as it is really painful??

btw, I have been told it is not the flu as it only affects my muscles and bones.

If your GP diagnosed you with a viral infection that affects your bones and muscles, did he not prescribe you some anti-inflammatory medication and/or some painkillers?

viruses can last 3-21 days -unless it's 5ths Disease and the symptoms can last up to 8 weeks. contact your doctor for more advice. Nsaids are great for pain & inflammation. drink lotsa water.
