How long does a viral infection usually last? |
i went to the doctors bc i have these little red bumps in the back of my throat and swollen glands he told me i have a viral infection that was about it and i didnt get any antibiotics is this bad? what do i do? It depends on the virus. Some viral infections will clear up in a few days, others will never clear up (ie HIV). The reason the doctor didn't give antibiotics is because they are ineffective against viruses. They only work on bacteria. |
