What vitamins can I take to prevent bladder infections and kidney infections? |
I seem to get bladder infections every two months if not more often, they started happening about a year and three months ago and have started coming more rapidly. This started happening before I was sexually active which has only been the last 5 months. I was in the hospital earlier this year with a kidney infection because my bladder infection symptoms where so mild I didn't know I had one. What can I do or vitamins can I take other then drinking plenty of water and cranberry juice to prevent these from happening? Also, I know all of the "cleanliness" rules as well as not taking baths, I am just wondering if there are vitamins that strengthen your bladder and/or kidneys. Cranberry juice is one of the best, but because of how often you get bladder infections and kidney infections I would recommend a consultation with a bladder specialist to see if you have a condition called Interstitial Cystitis. One of the symptoms of this inflammatory condition is frequent urinary tract infections. |
