Consistent Kidney and Bladder Infections? |
For the past year I have been getting sever consistent kidney and bladder infections. It is not a reflex or a STD of any kind. Does anyone else have this problem? They are very bad but no doctor can find out what鈥檚 wrong with me. I am think of having a baby soon and would like to know if anyone has an issue similar to mine When you urinate or have a bowel movement, you should always wipe from the front to the back otherwise you risk introducing bacteria into your urethra. You're welcome. And I hope you never have another infection! Report It go pee after sex (bacteria gets pushed up there-so flush it out) I used to have that problem. Drink lots of plain cranberry juice to get the ph balance back in your urinary tract. Also, start eating good quality yogurts - by that I mean, the ones with less sugar. Stonyfield Farm makes an excellent yogurt with plenty of acidophilus. That will help your digestion which in turn goes to your kidney. Go easy on starchy foods and sugars and your problems will disappear. I used to have that problem also. Pain in the you know what. First off, start peeing after sex. I know, not really on the agenda but it helps a lot. During sex all kinds of bacteria can be pushed up into a woman's urethra. Peeing after flushes them out. Try for no more than a couple of minutes after. Start drinking more water. Being dehydrated can up your chances of an infection. Don't wear pants that are really tight in the crotch, or thongs (if you can help it). Too tight pants restrict air flow and can encourage bacteria growth. Thongs can transfer bacteria from your butt to your urethra. If you don't like cranberry juice, try cranberry pills. No taste and they work just fine. If you still have problems, ask your doctor about a preventative anti-biotic you can take after sex. That's what finally stopped my neverending cycle of infections. i used to have the same problem. i even went to see an urologist about it. Basically, i have a titled uretha and it is very easy for bacteria to get in there. So, my doctor prescribed me an antibiotic to take before or after sex. I take only one pill. This has helped me completely. Your gyno should be able to tell you this. |
